D’Souza FA (A) seal comeback win in an intense game

D’Souza FA (A) rallied from 2-1 down to beat Maurya Foundation 3-2 in their Mumbai Football Association, Second Division Group B match on Saturday, 18th December 2021.

The weekend fixtures kicked off with a bang as we witnessed an end to end thriller. Maurya Foundation were first to open the scoring in the 10th minute through Krishnakumar Das. DFA stunned through the opener did well to settle themselves in the game and then levelled the score in the 24th minute as Dipu Neupane netted the equalizer. Maurya FA with their backs against the wall did not shy away and went ahead in the 34th minute with Hrishikesh Ghag’s neat finish.

DFA had the challenge to turn this one around and Maurya FA were up for preserving their lead. We witnessed a cracking second half where anything could have happened. But a resilient D’Souza FA completed their comeback with goals in the 62nd minute and 70th minute through Dhruv Reddy and Owais Khan respectively.
