GKW Rangers FC Youth and GKW Rangers FC played out a goalless draw!

GKW Rangers FC Youth and GKW Rangers FC played out a goalless draw in their Mumbai Football Association First Division Championship fixture at Neville D’Souza Ground, Bandra. Both teams fought hard but failed to find the back of the net in a match that was defined by solid defensive displays and missed opportunities.

The game began with both sides adopting a cautious approach, prioritizing possession and defensive organization. GKW Rangers FC Youth, dressed in green and blue, looked more dominant in the opening exchanges, with Justen Babu and Karan Raut controlling the midfield. However, their attacking movements lacked the final pass, making it easy for the GKW Rangers FC defense to neutralize their threats. The team in pink and black responded with counterattacks, as Macklino Mendes and Krishna Thakur tried to break through, but they, too, struggled to create clear-cut chances.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with both teams trying to break the deadlock but ultimately falling short in the final third. Rasan Mishra attempted long-range efforts for the Youth side, while Jarren D’Silva and Vishnu Kumar were introduced by GKW Rangers FC to add attacking impetus. Despite these changes, neither team could create a decisive moment, with defenses continuing to dominate.

Both goalkeepers had relatively quiet games, as most shots were either blocked or off-target. In the final minutes, GKW Rangers FC pushed forward in search of a late winner, but the Youth side’s defense, led by Harish Kundapur and Darshan Ghadge, held firm.

While both teams would have preferred a win, the result reflects their strong defensive discipline. Moving forward, they will need to work on finishing and creativity in attack to turn possession into goals.
