Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Tata Power ended in a tightly contested 1-1 draw!

The Mumbai Corporate League clash between Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Tata Power ended in a tightly contested 1-1 draw at Neville D’Souza Ground, Bandra. Both teams had moments of dominance, but neither could break the deadlock in the second half as they settled for a point each.

Tata Power started the match with a high press, looking to control possession early on. Their persistence paid off in the 16th minute when midfielder Bornil Gogoi found himself in space and struck a well-placed shot past RBI goalkeeper Bhushan J. Patil to give Tata the lead. The early goal gave Tata Power confidence as they dictated play, but RBI quickly regrouped.

RBI responded with urgency, pushing forward in search of an equalizer. Their breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Shantanu Gaikwad capitalized on a defensive lapse to slot the ball home, bringing his side back on level terms. With the score tied, the game became a battle in midfield, with both teams struggling to find clear-cut chances for the remainder of the half.

The second half was a cagey affair, with both defenses standing firm. Tata Power’s backline held off RBI’s attacking threats, while at the other end, Bhushan J. Patil made crucial saves to deny Tata a winning goal. The match saw a few yellow cards as tensions flared, but neither team could find a decisive moment to claim victory.

With this draw, both teams add a point to their tally, keeping their campaigns steady. While Tata Power will regret not capitalizing on their early lead, RBI will take heart from their resilience in coming back to secure a result.
